Blood pressure query

Does anyone know how much variation is normal over the course of the day, e.g. if you're rushing around would it be normal at that point for BP to be above "normal" limits?

If you are rushing then it could be higher, that’s why it’s recommended to be sat for 5/10 minutes before taking a reading. How high was it?

Getting an accurate reading
When you have your blood pressure checked in clinic, arrive a few minutes early if you can and take a few minutes to sit quietly and relax first

It's fine when I've sat for 5 minutes (117/78) but the first time I'd rushed up a few flights of stairs and it was 140/90

Normal for it to raise after aerobic activity -which rushing up a few flights of stairs is.

Normal blood pressure is around 120/80 mmHg. It may rise to 140/90 after aerobic exercise

That's very helpful, thanks.
