Ectopic heart beats

Hi all,

Does anyone suffer from ectopic heart beats. I also have anxiety so am slightly struggling at the minute xx

Yes I have them .mine are hormone related so depending on time of the month depends how frequent they are .
Just take some deep breaths hun they can be scary

@Inthesameboatatmo they're awful. I usually have them when my iron is low but I've been on tablets for 3 months. I ended up in a and e yesterday because they just kept on going xx

Try to eat more iron rich foods as well your iron might just be super low and taking a while to come back up.
I've also over the years presented to hospital with them ,they can be quite powerful when it kicks in

@Inthesameboatatmo I'm having bloods taken on Friday to check my iron and also b12!

@OverTheRainbow88 I had one in 2013 which showed ectopic beats they said they were harmless. The odd one I can ignore but they just wouldn't stop yesterday

If it really wouldn’t stop it could be something called SVT, which I have which is sometimes triggered by an ectopic beat. Basically my heart can go up to 200 bmp and stay like that for hours and sometimes I need an injection to stop it. But it’s apparently not dangerous when it happens just feels horrible and makes me dizzy.

Could be worth asking, there’s different types, mine is ANVRT.
