Would B12 levels be included in a full blood count?

No

A full blood count is a test to check the types and numbers of cells in your blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

No, you would need to check B12 separately.

Thanks everyone. Will the GP do this if I ask, does anyone know?

It's a different blood specimen bottle so would need adding to your request form and then could be collected when you go for your FBC.

Of he thought there was a reason to do it, he would add it, but presumably he didn't think it was needed originally. It costs the NHS money so they won't do it if they don't think it is necessary.

Not included but anemia would normally be picked up, so this would prompt further investigation.
