that he only has one. And yes that is DS you read. He is 6. He had one undescended testicle operated on at age 3 and I must admit that I haven't check him out recently but we were talking about balls (as you do with 6 yr old boys) and I asked him how many he had. He said 2. I said can I check. He giggled. Lay back and said "this might be...." (I was worried he would say lucky day) "my massage".

Anyway - checked and although the operated side appears to have one the other side doesn't.

Anyone heard of this?

I know one undescended on is not unusual but 2??

if hormone injections don't work, you can still have the surgery

if surgery goes wrong the testicle is scuppered- would seriously consider the hormone treatment first. How many injections do they offer?

Was just looking at your link! Are you reading over my shoulder or something??

Thanks.

I think I am more worried as DH seems worried and it seems common with one but not necessarily with two. And is it related to the fact that he is IVF? Is it that DH as problems but not exactly those problems?

DH has never been fully checked out - he really needs to see a urologist but trying to get him to do so is a minefield. He is impotent AND has low sperm. They could be connected? I just don't know.

Will take DS to Paed this week and take it from there. Thanks.

(And sorry again for crappy title. Am tired and have had a couple of glasses of wine).

tissy - not sure how many but I looked into it three years ago when DS had the other one "done" and I wasn;t impressed with the results. 10% success I seem to remember - and the injections sounded dodgy.

Awww, good luck buda, hope you get something sorted.
