I have been going through a stressful time recently and been through a traumatic event.

Since then I've been having chest pains, dizziness, weakness, pins and needles, palpitations, stomach ache, diarrhoea. DH thinks it's anxiety but how can I be sure. I've been to the drs and had basic observations done and all fine. Dr says health anxiety but I am terrified. I've been prescribed medication for anxiety and just started taking it but I feel like I'm dying, not because I feel poorly but because I keep
Getting these symptoms, every day it is something different. I feel like I can't cope much more

Sounds like severe stress unfortunately.
My health really declines when I’m going through a stressful time.

I’m not surprised op.
What can you do for yourself to look after your needs?

I had 3 years of huge stress in relation to one of my children. I went to the doctors numerous times (prior to this, I was rarely ill /went to doctors) with numerous very different ailments and was told each time that they were stress related. At one point I convinced myself I had bowel cancer.
I now realise that our mental health is SO connected to our physical well-being.
Not only does our stress/depression/anxiety come out in physical ways, but the physical symptoms cause us more anxiety.
Look after yourself, your body is just reacting to how you're feeling mentally. Hope things get better soon for you x

It sounds like the symptoms of severe stress, I have had the same, I take sertraline, and it's just been about four months now, when I first started taking it I felt like I was dying for about two weeks. But it did improve overall X

It's the worse feeling ever. I have recently started citalopram I'm sure if that's making me feel worse. I just want to feel normal
