Breast Lump

Hi I'm looking for some reassurance as I have serious anxiety! Posted this before on a different thread.

I am 8 weeks pregnant and found a small lump in the fatty bit below my boob when I was doing a self check! I was in so much shock. It's small, can move between my fingers and isn't painful. I contacted my GP who also felt it and said it kept moving beneath her fingers and thinks it's a Fibroadenoma and to not be concerned but has referred me to the breast clinic.

But has anyone else had this happen especially in pregnancy and everything be ok?
I am worried sick.

Hello OP. I've had breast lumps twice , was worried sick like you. It's perfectly understandable to feel worried and you've been very sensible in going to your gp to be checked out. I also was sent to breast clinic and they staff there were absolutely lovely and reassuring and put me at ease. Lumps turned out to be nothing to worry about. Let me know how you get on and try not to worry !!

I have a small lump in the bottom of my breast it moves around isn't painful. It has been there for years I had it checked a few times by different doctors who were not worried. About 3 years ago I had a very painful breast for about 8 weeks and I was sent for a scan. The pain I had was hormonal, I had stopped breastfeeding 6 months before and it went away. I had a full scan at the hospital nothing was found and I was told the lump is more than likely a fatty lump or gristle. It has never got any bigger it's just there I do keep an eye on it though.

Thank you!

I just can't settle at all with this worry. I feel it's took over my life the past 2 weeks almost! Feel like I can't enjoy being pregnant. Mines does get tender but not always, and I feel it's gotten bigger also but I'm not sure if this is just in my head!

Hello!

2 years ago when I was 26, I had burning in my right breast. (No children nor pregnant) I decided to go to the doctors as I was slightly concerned. The doctor did an examination of the breast and found a lump. I was immediately referred to the breast clinic (2 weeks wait)
I was petrified!!!!

The appointment went fine, couldn’t believe how many woman of all ages where there. Had my scans ect. And nothing was found. Turns out breasts can form fatty tissue now and then. The doctor I saw at the hospital said they see more woman who’s breast turn out fine!

I was given two different antibiotics for the burning.

So please don’t worry! Most of the time it’s nothing to worry about.

Not pregnant but still breastfeeding and found a small lump. GP wasn’t sure what she could feel. Ultrasound at breast clinic found a small benign fluid filled cyst. While I was pregnant though I developed a very strange lump that was literally coming out my arse. Lots of fun showing that to the GP. Turns out probably a sort of oversized skin tag which are apparently common in pregnancy. Eventually it fell off. I do think pregnant bodies do weird things.

I just can't seem to find anyone else at all who found a lump whilst pregnant and I think that's what's worrying me too, that it must be uncommon Sad
