Thanks Charliecat - I've ordered one!

tillykins · 29/10/2004 21:11

are they any good? How many steps are you supposed to walk each day?

charliecat · 29/10/2004 21:13

Dont know Tillykins, I think it counts how many you do walk each day..so you can improve on that if you would like too.

throckenholt · 29/10/2004 21:50

another site I read have all got theirs today for some reason and many of them were commenting how useless they were - either over or underrecording.

charliecat · 29/10/2004 21:56

I got one too (just couldn't resist following the herd !) - it seems reasonably accurate - so I guess they are very variable. You might be lucky and get an accurate one !

Skate · 29/10/2004 22:07

Just ordered one - really want to see how many steps I do as a SAHM, compared to dh who works in an office (and as far as I am concerned sits on his lazy arse all day!! )

jnbsmum · 29/10/2004 22:27

I must admit they do seem cheap but hey what can you say for free. They do measure steps acuratlly(i think). dh worked out he did 6000ish yesterday and he works as a driver. I'm wearing it tommorow. Im also a sahm so we'll see how many i do

bonym · 30/10/2004 07:29

Thanks for the link - just ordered mine!

smellymelly · 30/10/2004 11:59

Thanks - I've been meaning to do this all week!!

candy · 30/10/2004 12:23

I wore mine for 3 days and did around 13000 each day - I reckon that's probably about right as I'm a teacher and spend all day bopping up and down stairs.

zippy539 · 30/10/2004 12:24

Thanks - just ordered mine

moomina · 30/10/2004 14:30

just ordered mine!

emmatmg · 30/10/2004 15:04

Mine arrived a few days ago.

Not entirely accurate though as at one point it said 9184, so I counted up to 9200 (16 steps) and it then said 9207.
I did more than 13,000 without even leaving the house.

So not accurate but in a good way

fairydust · 01/11/2004 08:56

arrived this morning

candy · 01/11/2004 19:52

lol emmatmg - maybe I'm not as fit as I was hoping then!
