i have had the odd migraine here and there for several yrs but recently i have had one or two a day my periods are becoming v irregular too. ie its been 8 weeks since my last one and no sign of it yet. i only mention them as i find the migraines are often hormone related eg loads when i am ovulating, or when i am in early pregnancy (and i m not pregnant as have tested despite knowing i cant be as dh has had snip). dont want to go leaping off to doctors if its not something to worry about iyswim.

but the migraines are debilitating esp with young children to care froe, i dont usually get the pain, just awful flashing lights, black patches where i cant see, feel sick, confused, cant speak properly, and even when i've 'recovered' i feel wiped out for the rest of the day.

I think you should go to docs. Even if its nothing to worry about, its interefering with your daily life, especially tough as you have young children.

no, no food allergies, well none that i have ever noticed causes migraines in me. and sometimes it happens before i have woken up and i wake up with one.
also i went to doctors not that long ago as hae been struggling with my weight and she did loads of tests then thinking it was my thyroid and they all came back clear.
i have made an appt for thurs now so will see what she says, she must think i'm such a hypochondriac!
