Diastasis Recti

Had baby 2.5yrs ago. I am 3 stone heavier than pre pregnancy and my tummy still looks pregnant. Is this diastasis recti?

I'm fed up with not being able to wear what I'm wearing in picture, I took this off afterwards.

No advice but following because my belly will not go down. You look great btw.

It needs a physical examination by a dr. Could just be the extra weight everyone seems to puts on with pregnancy

@6lb3oz in my experience as I lost the weight I looked even more pregnant, my muscles were very separated and even after lots of effort with a personal trainer and physio they didn't join again. I had twins for my third pregnancy and I decided to have a full tummy tuck when they were 10 months old, supported by my GP by paid for privately. I had problems with my back and left hip that were helped, side effect was i got a flat tummy.

Can you feel the gap? How wide is it? The nhs website tells you how to test for diastasis recti

Yes you can test for this yourself as PP mentioned. I'm concerned my daughter has this. Her baby is 17 weeks old now and my daughter didn't put extra weight on but still looks about 6 months pregnant. She's very down about it. She doesn't know about diastasis recti and I haven't mentioned it. I don't want to upset her as she's recovering from knee cartilage surgery, which is a long slow process, and I don't want to add to her worries. She's also down about her hair looking crap as she can't get her roots done 😕

I'm 27 + 4 days and can see this weird indent around my belly button that wasn't there before. Can you see diastasis recti during pregnancy??
