teething 4.5 months/how to clean his teeth

My ds's first teeth are coming out but he doesn't want me to brush them. He is sucking and licking the toothbrush and doesnt allow it to touch his teeth. Any experience or advise?

yes, do you have to clean the gums at 4.5 months??

My health visitor said i should start cleaning them when i mention to her his teeth coming out. I am a first time mum, so i thought I had to clean them

oh god, haven't cleaned dd3's teeth at all yet - she is 14 months and has 2 little teeth on the bottom.....
