Hi, I'm new here (my first post) so sorry if this is something that's been discussed to death previously...
Anyway, I'm living in Paris for a few months, but daughter's been ill. Been to the GP here a cople of times - first said ear infection and prescribed anitibiotics, second said ear clear and must just be a virus. But she's had a temperature the whole time and been miserable (normally very cheerful baby!), and today highest so far 38.5.
I've been really lucky so far - it's the first time she's been ill - so I just don't know whether to be worried and take her back to the doc or whether its normal for a baby to take this long to shift a bug. And I don't know anyone here to talk to about it!
Any advice or shared experiences very welcome.
Thank you

DD has had a few bugs (shes 10 months) and they do have a runny nose etc for a while after they have actually shaken the bug.

However, my advice would always be if you are in any doubt take them to see the doctor. I have done this a few times and they probably think I am a paranoid mother but I don't care - would rather be sure. The doctors themselves have saide to me if you are ever unsure just bring her in - it only takes a few minutes of their time to check her over so they really wont mind.
