Worried while waiting for breast clinic appointment.

I had had an inverted nipplefor 2 weeks when I saw a nurse who referred me to the breast clinic. She was concerned about the nipple but found no lump or issues with nodes. The appointment has been made quickly and I am going to the clinic next Tuesday.
Despite the fact that I’m not having to wait too long, I’m scared that each day may be making a difference. I don’t know what I expect by posting here, just feeling a bit alone in it.

It can be an awful time having to wait, even though it's not long it feels like ages. When I was waiting I just kept thinking of all the referrals made, about 80% (maybe more) are nothing serious.

Thanks for your reply justgivejack.

Hi. Just wanted to say I've had that wait a few times. Like Lunificent said, the majority of women with referrals have nothing serious and its very normal for any woman with any breast concern to be sent to the breast clinic. Xx

Thanks Dithery.

How did appointment go

Lunificent · 03/03/2021 09:41

Thank you for asking RunawayBride2. They found a lump and a raisedlymph node. I had a lymph node biopsy and I’m having a biopsy in the lump tomorrow. Results on 11th March. I’m very frightened and need to know how to keep calm.

Did you have a mamogram or ultrasound? I was told i had BC just from the mamogram and ultrasound , its usually a very good indication.

Hi Dithery. I’m sorry I didn’t catch up with this thread and reply. It was all a lot to digest. I’m fine and staring Chemo on 19th April.

Hi Lunificent
Thank you for the update. Im sorry the results weren't better and yes I imagine you have had a lot to digest. I'm guessing you have had surgery - I hope it went well. Do you know how long the chemo will last? Im pleased the 'ball is rolling' with a treatment plan. Take care xx

Lunificent · 10/04/2021 22:33

Thanks Dithery. I would have had surgery first but I need Herceptin so am starting with chemo.
