Hi , I’ve had an ongoing ear problem , I got a referral to ent but have been told it’s a 50 week wait for an appointment.
I’ve decided to go private which is costing a fortune . I just wanted to ask does anyone inks what the difference is between going direct to the private Dr and getting a referral to him via the nhs my gp

I went private for an initial assessment. I found a private consultant then I contacted GP to let them know who it was and details and arranged for them to have the referral/scans sent to his private secretary so consultant had them for appointment.
