Headaches/dizziness with pulmonary embolism

I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism last week. Doctors say most likely caused by me being on the pill. I'm 47. Discharged from hospital with blood thinners. Feeling pretty ok so far. Not breathless at all, oxygen levels are normal, heart rate normal etc. I've managed several long walks, normal housework etc... The thing I'm really struggling with is a persistent (mild) headache / slight dizziness / slightly spaced out feeling. I've done a lot of googling and these don't seem to be typical symptoms of a PE so I'm now freaking out a bit that there could be something else going on.... I know I need to give myself some time for my body to recover so hopefully these will subside... Just don't know whether to go back to GP to start investigating what's causing these strange symptoms. Advice from anyone who's had a PE or any medics would be really appreciated.

It could be just your system getting used to the blood thinners. If you only had the PE a week ago be kind to yourself as your body will still be recovering. I was very tired for the first few weeks on blood thinners but they are necessary and you do get used to them. I felt a bit lost after coming home from hospital with blood thinners and no other aftercare. That said if you have any concerns try to get a GP appointment.
