I'm cringing to ask but I could do with some advice - does anyone have a vaginal pessary ring fitted for uterine prolapse?

I have had one fitted and it was great for 2 weeks then came out. Had another one fitted but the doctor said she wasn't confident it would stay put
I can feel the ring at the back - should I be able to?
And I feel vaguely uncomfortable which I don't think I did when it was first fitted
Can you help? Please?

thanks

Hello tillykins. I have not got one of these but I have got a bladder prolapse just confirmed and I am waiting for an ultra sound as they think I have fibroids or something that are causing the prolapse. Bumping for you.

oooh yuck, that sounds nasty - but at least if they can shift the fibroids, the prolapse may not need any sort of repair????

I have no idea what's in store for me. You know what it's like, they don't tell you much. Before I was examined they talked about the repain op, then as soon as they had a good old poke and prod, started talking about scans.

repair op, not repain whoops

OK, I have one and am quite experienced in this as have had it for nearly 6 years now with no hope of change unless I have surgery. Email me [email protected]
