Dp had a rash all over for 6 months, dr prescribed 3 x antibiotics, various creams, nothing worked. It finally went just recently of its own accord it seems. He was referred to dermatologist and was supposed to get an appt at beg of jan but despite ruining a few times its not materialised.

He has very bad skin on hands, around 3 Wk’s ago it was so bad, deep cuts on his palms at the base of his fingers, cuts all over the knuckles, bleeding all over, i got some zeroderm which I’ve been moistening his hands and creaming them thickly every night, it has improved them a lot. But his nails look ruined fro the last 6m of rash/bad hand skin. No idea what’s going on with them or if there’s anything we need to be doing to them, reluctant to go back to gap again as derma appt is still meant to be happening at some point and last time they just kept prescribing stuff that didn’t have an effect, i think we spent circa £80 one month on various prescriptions.

Anyone with any skin experience care to give any advice or opinion? They are really deformed looking, not straight-all bumpy and different depths.

Were you prescribed steroid creams? They can do that, I’ve had eczema a lot over the years. Eczema medication is very hit and miss, some of the treatments seem to make it worse. You can feel the discomfort as soon as it hits the skin, if it happens it’s best to wash it off and not use it again.
I had one nail affected, looked like it was being eaten by the nail bed, so itchy.
Once it’s been treated his nails and skin should go back to normal in a few months.

I've seen something similar with psoriasis on the hands, it can pit the nails almost right through to the nail bed. If it resolves the bumps may grow out.
