I have several symptoms which could be hormonal (I am 48 and perimenopausal) or due to vitamin deficiencies. I am trying to rule things out, as I am not able to have HRT due to a borderline test result for Antiphospholipid syndrome (history of multiple miscarriages).
My main symptoms are fatigue, thinning hair, muscle aches, headaches, poor concentration/memory, and, I have just discovered, tinnitus. I assumed hearing random noises in my ears was something that happened to everyone. I've started noticing I am getting breathless more easily - it's not like my asthma, although it could be due to lockdown lifestyle.
I know from previous tests that my vitamin D level isn't optimal, so take a supplement for that. Previous tests have shown low ferritin and folate, but that was a private test, not through GP. Full blood count tests are always 'satisfactory', although both MCV and MCH are on just within lower limit.
I haven't had a period for over a year, so it's not caused by heavy periods. I don't look particularly pale (to me, anyway).
I had my thyroid TSH level tested in August, it was 2.7.
I would like my vitamin D level checked again, as well as a full blood count - is there anything else I could check?
I don't want to start taking other supplements without getting things checked. I have taken Spatone in the past but not noticed any difference.
