Digestive issues as you get older, help me diagnose

Is it normal as you get older (middle age) your body decides it can't tolerate food/drink at certain times?

I can have a coffee or tea first thing in the morning on full stomach or empty stomach and i am fine, but later on in the day I can't have them either on full or empty stomach without feeling a bit of stomach pain like a bit of burning pain in stomach. I was thinking dairy intolerance but I'm fine in the morning and after cereal.
Another example is now I can't tolerate fizzy drinks that well anymore and have to be careful at what time I have a glass of pop and whether I've eaten or not.

Eating a huge meal causes me problems but then if I eat more smaller meals but more often it doesn't agree either.
Does anyone know what this could be?
I have had my gallbladder out 2 years ago and wondering if this is connected.
I'm gutted I can only have 1 cup of coffee a day otherwise it hurts and I'm fed up of planning when I can have a drink after a meal

I was going to say gallstones but you said you had your gallbladder removed. Yet some people still get problems even after that. Or it could be simple indigestion, acid reflux etc, all these become more common as we age. I would have a chat with your GP to see what they suggest.
