Adult teeth coming through but...

We've just noticed that ds's first adult tooth has coe through but it isn't near his baby tooth so it isn't going to push it out.
I'm worried that he is going to be left with a lot of gum at the front of his mouth and are they going to have to take the baby teeth out?

Both dc's first adult teeth came up noticeably some way behind the first one and eventually displaced them, moving forwards once the milk tooth was out.
