Bump above tooth

Hi all, I have a bump above my premolar that hurts when pressed in, however no constant pain or pain whilst eating. I've been to the dentist and doesn't think it's an abscess because I'm not in constant pain only when it's pressed in.

Thoughts please.
Thanks

Not all abscesses cause pain, it depends where the infection is. Have you been given antibiotics ? What treatment did dentist give?

Thanks for your reply, no I haven't been given antibiotics. I just had an x-ray. He did say it might be something to do with the roots and to monitor the situation

Not being funny, but you've had an opinion from a highly qualified medical profession so I'm not sure what help we can provide.
