Blocked nose nightmare in 6 month old

My 6 month old is waking up at night with a nose so blocked she can't breathe out of it at all. Considering she normally only wakes up once a night but last night was every 2 hours, I wondering what I can do. Have tried Karvol, mattress raised, saline drops, Medised...! But last night was a killer - I nearly left the house this morning without shoes on thanks to extreme tiredness. Weirdly she doesn't seem coldy during the day-no runny nose etc..

Benylin Coughs and Colds seems to dry it up for us and stop the coughing. Problem is that it only lasts 6 hours so you will probably have to get up once in the night to re-administer it but that is better than 2 hourly. Seems to be the only thing that helps my DSs but I am not sure if it is suitable for a 6 mth old. I think it is though.

Or alternatively she has some sort of allergy if it is only at night. Could be dust or something.

Before bed try running the shower on the hottest, or bath tap and sit in the bathroom when it is all steamed up - maybe that will help clear it abit? Or is that coughs....

Oh yes, make sure it's humid enough - bowls of water on the radiators etc.

Steam sterilizer worked for us-take the lid off.

before they go to bed stick one pulsatilla capsule in their mouth - helps unblock their nose - can use in day as well. They are made by Nelsons - sold in boots and most chemists - works great on my 6 months old

Thanks guys. Another rough night last night. Answered the door to gasman realising too late that boobs were leaking but didn't care.
She's so desperate to sleep but just can't breathe out of her nose. Funnily enough though instead of crying she babbled all night!
Off to Boots to stock up on stuff!

xx

You mean of the hot water variety and not the classic track by East 17, I presume. Hoho - I'm delirious, help!
