Stomach issues 10yrs after gallbladder removal

DH had his gallbladder removed approximately 10 years ago. This last while (and twice this week) he's felt so bad he's had to make himself sick, and feels rotten afterwards. I suppose it's coincided with a greasy meal - he had a beef stew, mealie, pigs in blankets, mash on the Sunday and was up vomiting in the night, and we had an Indian takeaway last night for his birthday and a croissant for breakfast today and was vomiting by lunch time. He does make himself sick, but it starts with stomach pain.

Has anyone else had this a while after gallbladder removal? We do generally have a healthy home cooked diet but he's not been following a low fat diet since he had his gallbladder removed, and hadn't really had any issues, until recently. Thanks for any input.

I had my gallbladder removed roughly 10 years ago as well. I don't have the issue of been sick but I do know when I have had too much fatty food as I get terrible stomach pains then diarrhea.
The gallbladders job is to produce bile for the liver to break down fat. I would image that his sickness is probably down to having too much fatty food.
Keep an eye on it and if he still feels sick/unwell after every meal it wouldn't hurt to talk to the doctor.

Thanks @Bedofwool, that's what I suspected. We followed a low fat diet prior to his op, so we'll just have to do it again. Will be good for me too!

I had mine out about 30 years ago, and only very recently have I begun to notice that if I have a very fatty meal I might have explosive diahorrea (sorry for TMI). No pain, though. I've wondered whether it was a gall bladder thing.
