Migraines!

I’ve had what feels like a very drawn out migraine for the last week (headache, upset stomach, tingling/twitching hands, spaced out) and now I just feel exhausted. Does anyone else have this post migraine comedown? For the last 2 days I feel completely wiped, all I want to do is get in to bed. I’ve fortunately not had that many migraines before (5 perhaps?) but I’ve never noticed the aftermath being this bad.

I've had similar. I haven't had a migraine for a few years but had one on Monday and Tuesday with the visual disturbance. Wednesday I was do dizzy I couldn't get out of bed. Threw up. Now spaced out and twitchy

Absolutely. I get vertigo and migraines and an attack exhausts me.

Definitely!! I always get a migraine ‘hangover’ I think it’s pretty common from what I’ve researched online. Hope you feel better

Yes.. Its like having a bruise after a fall.

Mrsmorton · 11/02/2021 21:51

Yep. I'm like an empty wetsuit for about 3 days. My migraines always last about 10hours but I'm literally immobile and vomming into a bowl every 30min. Grim.

ButterfliesandMoths · 11/02/2021 21:54

Yes, at my worst I'd need a full week to start feeling 'normal' again.

Yes I get awful fatigue after one and even sitting on the sofa watching telly is a huge effort to keep my eyes open. I’ll feel off balance and spaced out too. Horrible!

Empty wetsuit. Absolutely perfect description!
Often my migraine hangover lasts longer than the migraine. I feel spacey, exhausted and usually have neck and shoulder pain. A bath makes it worse.
Hang on in there. Hope it passes soon.

My first ever migraine lasted 5 days. It felt like nails being dragged down a chalkboard - but on my brain.

Migraines are bloody awful, and ikwym about migraine hangover or like having a bruise.
