Sound from lungs

When I lie down, I have a crackling noise and other noises in my lungs. I've had this for months. I don't smoke.

Should I speak to my Dr or will it go? Not sure what to do.

Months?

greybluegreen · 10/02/2021 15:23

Yes, must be a couple of months now.

I honestly thought that was a mistake.

Make an appointment to see your GP.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 10/02/2021 15:27

Have you had covid? I had this for months and months after I had a fairly mild case. Always when I lie back at a slight angle on sofa and right at the top of my lungs. It finally went after about 7 months. Didn’t have any other impact on my day to day life.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 10/02/2021 15:28

I did speak to a GP after a couple of months and she said it was common

greybluegreen · 10/02/2021 15:37

I'm not feeling ill other than that so I didn't want to waste a Dr appointment on it. I have now made an appointment. I thought it was just an ongoing cold but am now worried I may need antibiotics.

I don't know if I'd had Covid. I have been experiencing vertigo on and off for a year. I have spoken to my Dr about that. My chest has been making noises as well for months and now I'm feeling tired so I wonder if I have an infection. I have fibromyalgia so it's very difficult for me to know when I'm ill as I feel ill all the time.

You are not feeling ill or you feel ill all the time?

Einszwei · 10/02/2021 15:43

Call your GP. They will check if your lungs are clear. It could easily be an infection.

I have fibromyalgia. I feel like I have flu all the time, so it's difficult for me to know when I have a cold or infection or something like that. I also have chronic fatigue so it's difficult for me to know if I'm feeling ill because I have an infection or if I'm having a flare of symptoms.

My mistake. You said you didn't feel ill.

It's no problem, it is confusing! I remember one time I only knew I had a cold because I had a fever and sweat was pouring into my eyes as I was trying to use the computer. I feel achy and ill all the time with fibro.

Definitely call the GP - they'll probably try you on antibiotics and/or send you for an x Ray.

greybluegreen · 10/02/2021 16:09

Thanks. I've contacted my surgery for an appointment so hopefully will hear from them soon.

Hi I've been scrolling looking for and came across this as it sounds very similar to me! Did you get anywhere with the doctors? If you don't mind me asking, thanks

ViennaVogue · 07/03/2024 19:35

Heyy. I’m currently having the same symptoms. Did anyone get any diagnosis or clue to what it was? Thanks xx
