Have never had a good libido but the last 5 years or so it has practically vanished completely.During this time i have had dc so have 'done' it at some point but i really don't have any interest anymore.

I even came off the pill(god knows why i was on it?)as i thought it might help but it hasn't .
Saw the nurse today and mentioned it and she said it was not normal and i am young so isn't the norm and i should see a GP about it, and i left feeling even more abnormal.

My rather tin pot - not based on any scientific analysis - theory is that sex is just reproduction and was never really intended as recreation...so we will have a reasonable drive until we have done just that and procreated. Once we have children the biological imperative has been met and our drive diminishes

Somebody will come along and deride me now in true poncenet mumsnet style

give it time for your hormones to adjust. i really resent the years i sacrificed sexually from being on the blinkin pill. it's repressive

Oh no! You just put my views into perfect persective!

For me, these days, bed if for well needed SLEEP!

Unfortunately, gone are the days of concubines. I did offer to get dh one for our anniversary but it doesn't seem to be the done thing these days.

What sort of time scale should i have on my hormones readjusting ?
