Groin pain and stiffness

I have developed groin pain on both sides but worse on left side. I've had a look online but I can't figure out what this might be. It's like a constant dull ache but it's worse when I first get up in the morning and when I do things like put my socks on. It often flares when I'm out walking too. It feels like when I bring my knee up towards my chest that something in my groin area is being sqaushed or something there is tender and sore. I'm not sure if it's a hernia(s) or lymph nodes or some kind of strain/arthritis/pelvic floor issue. Is there a way to tell the difference? Aside from going to the gp?

I have osteo arthritis and groin pain, stiffness when I get up, dull ache are my main symptoms. I got x rays which confirmed it. I'm 59 but it started at around 54 I reckon. I was surprised groin pain was a symptom.
You'd best get it checked by a Dr though.
Swimming and pilates help to keep me moving.

I'm only 36 but it does sound similar. I went on a big hike a few weeks ago and it was quite painful towards the end and afterwards I was very stiff. Then had an unpleasant digestive experience with some iron tablets recently that has also made it worse. Blush

Could be radiating from hip girdle?

I don't think my pelvic area has ever recovered from having my 2nd dd so quite possibly. I'm stressing out about it now so have booked a telephone call with the gp tomorrow. Worried about it being a hernia or something more sinister. Apparently you can usually see hernias though so probably my anxiety making me jump to the worst possible conclusions.
