Ok so this might not get response but what I'm after really is your experiences of this if it has happened to you and what the outcome was.
So I unfortunately missed my smear test when I was first due one as I found out I was pregnant at 25.
So I've recently just had my first smear test at 26 , the results came back through the post and told me I had HPV and abnormal moderate cell changes. Obviously my first reaction was panic ! Does this mean I have cancer? Etc .
So on the letter it told me I had to go in for a colposcopy . I had my colposcopy today and the doctor told me rather then treatment he was going to do a biopsy we're he took pieces of my cervix for further testing.
I'm just in absolute panic mode now thinking the worst outcome I have a little boy and it absolutely terrifies me to think I could possibly have cervical cancer ! :( and I could be waiting up to 8 weeks for the results. My question is has anyone else experienced this and what was the outcome of the biopsy? Why couldn't he treat it there and then ? Urggg just someone put my mind at rest !
