Hello,

An odd one , but , my mouth feels weird, sort of dry but just in front of teeth, if you run tongue around your mouth in front of your teeth behind your lips, that bit!! Confused

I'm constantly running my tongue over it because it feels like my teeth are sticking to my inner lips/mouth.

Any ideas?

I don't smoke, drink or do drugs basically I'm a boring cow!

Did you start any new medication recently?

InvisibleToEveryone · 01/02/2021 21:42

Hi, nope nothing new meds wise, or anything actually, that's why it's so weird!

I have had same for few months and for last couple weeks it is affecting my sleep because whole mouth dry and no amount of water helps. I panic when trying to sleep to the extent I have a real problem now. Finally got to talk to doctor and have blood test scheduled. Meanwhile getting a prescription for a mouth spray of artificial saliva which might be an idea for you OP.

I had the same. A tongue swab came back normal (twice). It went away of its own accord after a month or two. I bought over the counter dry mouth spray and gel to help

Could you be pregnant? Dry mouth is a symptom, though I'd never heard of it until it happened to me. No amount of water made any difference.

StiffyByng1 · 02/02/2021 19:37

Sjorgen’s Syndrome? Have a google. Do you have any other autoimmune conditions?

Shortysoso · 02/02/2021 19:41

How old are you? I have sjogrens, it’s a bore. Most common in post-menopausal women but I landed it aged 30. Dry eyes, dry mouth are my things.

The tests for it are a bit odd.

Shortysoso · 02/02/2021 19:42

Posted too soon. I had to spit into a tiny cup (unkind when you don’t have much saliva) and sit with blotting paper in my eyes (unkind under any circumstances) as well as bloods.

InvisibleToEveryone · 02/02/2021 22:34

Better bloody not be pregnant!

I'm 42 with a mirena coil .

No other conditions other than too fat
Recently bowel habits have changed, which I'm monitoring before attempting a dr appt, but come Friday if my mouth is still weird I'll do an econsult thing.

My teeth are actually sticking to my mouth it feels horrible .
Drinking feels like sucking on lemon doesn't help a great deal.

Could it be diabetes?

InvisibleToEveryone · 03/02/2021 22:25

I suppose anything or nothing is a possibility??

Like I say I'll give till Friday then contact the dr.
