Maybe this should be in 'style and beauty' or whatever that topic is that i never visit. Am considering botox after seeing myself, witch-like, in some photos recently. Am concerned about the health risks of having rat poison injected into my forehead tho...any one have experience to share?

Its not rat poison.

I often think about having it and am always drawn to discussions/threads about it.

But there's a bit of me that is worried about all the botox 'slipping' and I end up with a wonky eyelid or something.

oh gawd, have just read the wikipedia page on it and put myself off again...

The trouble with botox is that it looks like you've had botox. It's like a bloke with grey hair suddenly turning up for work with black hair.

When people age, wrinkles are inevitable. So an ageing person without wrinkles doesn't look like a young person. They just look like an older person who's had botox !!

And if any of that makes sense, I'll give you my last Twix

Evil - my cousin's had it (or rather has it since you have to top up every 6 months) and i didnt notice till she told me. I'll be 40 next year and dont have wrinkles as such just a bloody great frown line between my eyebrows which makes me look angry. DD1 is copying my expression!

I think if you confine yourself to a specific area, ie the frown line between your eyes, it's probably not so bad; particularly if you do it when you're still young enough to get away with it.

It goes without saying, of course, to use the same people your cousin uses . I'm all for it if it isn't immediately obvious, and I wouldn't rule it out for myself at some point in the future. It's unlikely, but I'd never say never.

Unfortunately I don't live in the same country as my cousin...
Getting my eyes lasered is higher up the list right now tbh...just waiting till DD2 stops bfeeding

I'd love to have my eyes done. I can't afford it right now, but it's something for the future. Oddly (although apparently it's common), my eyesight is improving with age

If I had the money I would have it done.
