Hi all
I snapped my tendon last September after an awkward fall where my ankle bent on its side. This was diagnosed in a walk in centre after an x ray to check for broken bones.
I was told it would take 3 months approx to heal so knew it would require patience. I work a manual job ( related). For the past five months every time I increase my activity etc go to work , walk , do basic activities my ankle swells up again and becomes quite painful.
My ankles are quite unstable anyway due to being hyper mobile ,so they buckle and bend outwards anyway.
I've recently contacted the drs about the injured one , as it is affecting my day to day life and safety ( nearly fell down 30+ concrete steps due to both ankles giving way)
I got referred for a ultrasound on my ankle and was told a ligament is torn and their is fluid around it. I've been referred to a muscoskeletal specialist and was wondering what the next steps could possibly be/ if anyone has had a similar experience?
Sorry this is so long
Thank you
