Adult Jaundice help please

Hi everyone,

I have had random bouts of Jaundice the past 5ish years. It comes and then goes again probably a few times a year, never worried me. I had a baby 14 weeks ago then we all caught covid. My whole body turned yellow including eyes but once I was over it it returned to normal colour.

Well today I have woke up and my eyes are slightly yellow again. I went on google and have seen in adults it is not good if you have Jaundice. I am now SH*TTING myself seeing what it could be. I have called the doctors and have a blood test monday.

Does anyone have any experience? Why would it come and go on it's own? Would it be persistent if it was something chronic? I am now freaking out big time. Wish I knew this was something to worry about sooner. I have also had elevated liver enzymes about 3 years ago in a routine blood test but they returned to normal after 6 weeks so no one was concerned. Now I'm worried this is connected. Someone please put my mind at ease! Sad

Worst case scenarios are now going through my head x

How did your blood test go OP? Are things any clearer for you now? Hope you’re doing ok

Hi,

This is interesting as my partner is currently in hospital due to a liver issue which is completely random. He’s not a big drinker and is young (27) and healthy. He did have covid a couple of weeks ago though.

What was your outcome? X
