Can anyone calm me down..ECG

I had an ECG this morning, was expecting all to be okay. Nurse said there is an abnormality and could indicate a mini heart attack. I had bloods and GP will book me for a echocardiogram. I have come home and I can't stop crying. I feel okay but I'm so worried. Surely if it was something serious they wouldn't have sent me home? I'm only 33.

Oh dear hope you're ok, I am surprised that the nurse diagnosed you, that should have been the doctor. I would contact the gp or the practice manager and tell them what the nurse said. A hospital can take another ecg and an almost instant blood test if you're worried. I hope you're ok and get all this sorted out soon.

Thank you so much @YesMeLady for replying.
I think the nurse was speaking to doctor over the phone who could also view the results. I'm so worried. I had my bloods done and she said they would be marked urgent.

Lots of ecg machines print a ‘suggested diagnosis’ at the top of the ecg. They are almost universally wrong! Bet the nurse has read what the machine suggests. I really wouldn’t worry until a person who can properly interpret ECGs sounds worried.

Thank you so much @Greybeardy that is so reassuring.

Greybeardy is right. I have also seen nurses put the ecg stickers and leads on wrong which affects the reading. one tried to do my dad over his pyjamas. Tbh I would have expected the doctor to come in and see you in person. Why did you need the ecg taken.

@YesMeLady sorry dr did come in after nurse called for him. He didn't seem concerned just asked for bloods and echocardiogram. I had ecg because I had covid in august and have since been having palpitations/heavy chest. I was honestly expecting all to come back normal and was thinking of cancelling as felt like I was wasting their time
