Has anyone experienced this before? For the last few months I’ve noticed that around ovulation time I get a sore area on my left boob on the side like a bruised feeling but no lumps it bumps etc. Then a week later gradually both of them will start to become tender before AF. We are TTC so I’m noticing when the soreness starts. Is the localised sore area normal or should I get it checked by the doc? I have a touch of health anxiety and don’t want to start getting my knickers in a twist x

This sounds like very normal hormonal breast pain, esp as it follows your cycle like clockwork- thats very reassuring. I was diagnosed eith a large breast cancer tumour in May and it was completely painless. My Oncologist said they always worry more about painless symptoms. All that being said you are perfectly in your rights to have anything new or unusual checked out by the breast clinic- for your own peace of mind if nothing else. Your GP can arrange this and it will all happen within 2 weeks so not long to wait at all.Good luck with the TTC :)

Thank you @Redannie118 I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis and I hope you are doing ok. It just seemed so random that it has started to do this so I was wondering if there was another problem By like you say it being cyclical is something good. With the way things are with Covid now you feel like you have to have your arm hanging off before “bothering the doctor”. I keep saying to myself I’ll just wait till lockdown goes away but it’s not going away is it! Then I wind myself up worrying about what could be wrong with me xx

It's worth calling the doctor to speak to them anyway, but apparently one sided breast pain is pretty normal. I certainly have had and it's linked to hormones. I actually had a breast ultrasound and they said my boobs are fatty/glandular but normal and that it was normal to have one sided pain. Funnily enough, the pain/ache is more prominent on the right side and I'm right handed so I wonder if that's linked to it too xx

@Mvshrln I have never heard of it before but why would I 😁! Thanks for the reassurance it’s good to know others have had it too
