Gallbladder removed 2019

Back in April 2019 I had my gallbladder removed after having my little boy...I had keyhole surgery with no complications and all healed fine...ever since I can feel something under my right hand side rib...if I'm sitting up or driving the car I can feel something or if I lie down in a certain position I can feel it...doesn't happen all the while but is uncomfortable and feels like it's going to pop out under my rib cage...just wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be...I'm going to ring the doctors tomorrow as someone said it could be a post operative hernia...thanks

Hmm that's odd. I had my GB out early 2020 by keyhole and no issues. Is your top side incision ok? Does it feel bumpy?

@mrstasty no all my scars feel fine...if I press my stomach I can't feel anything but it feels like it's under my right rib...i can't feel it all the while but I can if I'm sitting in certain positions etc xx

Your right rib to you if you look down?

Yeah I'm not sure what that is. The right rib is where one of the instruments goes, maybe they nipped something?

@mrstasty ye as I look down...I no it's really strange but never felt it before...ive just kept putting it off but spoke to a dentist I work for today and he thinks it could be a hernia...will see what the gp says tomoz xxxx

I had mine out in 2012 and occasionally I get a sharp nip under my right rib, like one of the staples is poking me or something! (I don't know of they use staples but that's what it feels like!)

I had my gallbladder out in 2019 and I have this. I swear they removed my gallbladder and left a brick in its place. Mine is worse of I have eaten a large meal or a meal with lots of fat in. I only really notice it when I lay on my right side but sometimes when I sit or bend a certain way too.I have wondered what it is as all my wounds healed really well.

@BettyOBarley it's so strange isn't it...it's hard to explain what it feels like but mine feels like a small ball is going to pop out from under my right rib cage x

@breadfortea it's really strange isn't it...that's when I feel mine like if I'm sat in a certain position or when bending down...if I lie on my left side sometimes I feel like I need to prop my side up and put the quilt under my body to support it xx
