Does anyone know anything about child psychiatry and psychotherapy?

I need to start reading about both - where would be a good reliable place to start?

In what context?

If you have a concern about your ow3n child, you should ask your gp to refer you to your local CAMHS (children & adolescent mental health service).

Not as simple as that! I need to read something about the fundamental principals and premises before going to a psychiatrist for a second opinion on a possibly wrong diagnosis of atypical autism.

Just bumping for you.
Maybe you should try the special needs section?
Explain diagnosis, why you disagree and I'm sure you'll find someone knowledgeable who's been there and done some research on the question.
Good luck

Thanks, I might. Just hoping someone who studied it can recommend me an introduction and save me hours of surfing!
