Hello all,
I am an acquired brain injury survivor (I was in a coma, life support, lost memory, had to learn to talk, walk etc, life turned upside down, life will never be the same again with no cure, just have to learn to live with the effects of the damage for the rest of my life). But amazingly/luckily, I am fall into the high functioning TBI (traumatic brain injury) survivors but then as brain injury is very complex, I still have a lot of other difficulties as a result of brain injury (like weaker left limbs, nerve pain etc) . I am also hypertensive, PSTD, arthritis. I vaguely recall been told year's ago that I have low white blood cells 🙄
Ok, year's ago, I moved house and registered at my new local GP and it was after about 2 years that I found that my medical notes were never passed on so nothing on record about my TBI at all I was told they had rectified things when my solicitors wrote to them. I have moved again 6+ years ago and I think same thing happened again.
Now, I want to change my GP and make sure they have all my records but wondering if anyone is actually changing GP now during this pandemic. I am currently shielding (although, I haven't got any letter from surgery to do so) I strongly feel my body would not survive another trauma (coma, intensive care) if God forbid, I get covid.
