Can anyone help explain what my results might mean?!

I’ve been having on going kidney pain for about a month originally my doctor thought it was just an infection and prescribed me some antibiotics after they didn’t work he tried a different type but also done some bloods a few of the results came back abnormal but the one I don’t understand is Bone Profile? Can anyone explain what this might mean too? Google confused me😔

depends what's abnormal in the bone profile. It could just reflect something simple like that you've had an infection. The bone profile is a very non-specific set of tests and you really need to speak to the doctor that ordered the tests.

My doctor wants to see me Monday to discuss the results, I was just trying to understand it more in the mean time. Thank you for your response though

Bone profile looks at calcium, phosphate, albumin and alkaline phosphatase to examine health of your bones. Mine was also recently abnormal with raised calcium but they rang me that day to explain so I didn’t have to wait. It depends what test within these was abnormal. In my case following the raised calcium they found my PTH levels were also raised and I’ve been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroid...

Oh and I think they also include vit D which is also often low in lots of people so could be something simple like that too!

In my case they rang and wanted me to go into hospital ASAP so hopefully yours is something simple. Waiting is horrible
