Can anyone recommend a pillow/s that could help with tension headaches/neck
Pain? I think I need new pillows are regularly wake up with a sore neck or headache at the base of my skull which I’m pretty sure is down to not having decent pillows! Thanks in advance!

I’ve had two tempur pillows and Do think they help my neck pain. One was the ergonomic shaped one and I now have the original. It quite decided which I prefer.

It depends if you sleep on your front, back or side. I have a side sleeper pillow, I can't remember the brand but its brilliant. Hardly any neck pain anymore

I also use one of these cervical cushions a few times a week. That also helps.

I've found a memory foam pillow (mine is from Mlily ) really helps with correct alignment.

I started getting exactly these tension headaches and severe tension at the base of my skull where it joins my neck a few months ago. Turns out it's from spending all day looking slightly down at my laptop, now I'm working from home my screen isn't set up at eye level as in the office. Have bought a monitor and it's made a huge difference!!

M and S do a pillow with a firm roll on one of the long sides. I bought one following a recommendation on a similar thread and am happy to say that is had made a difference. I no longer wake up with neck pain or headaches.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and recommendations! To the PP who mentioned WFH and laptop perhaps being an issue - I’d never thought of this but this could definitely perhaps be a factor. As is staring down at my phone for FAR longer than is probably good for you!!

I've got a John Lewis front/side sleeper pillow which has helped. The WFH/laptop/phone use gives you 'tech neck' - we are not designed to sit looking over like that for long periods.

I agree that WFH and looking at a laptop does make neck problems worse. I got a stand for mine and a separate keyboard which is helping a bit.

I vary where I sit and often put my laptop on a high chest of drawers and teach standing up. I have had terrible neck and shoulder pain. I bought a massage gun online which has been very helpful too!

Memory foam (Mille) pillow here too op. I have fibromyalgia and started to struggle badly with my neck/shoulders/headaches as previous pillows were not supporting my head properly when laid on my side.
Started using this pillow just over a year now and it's brilliant.

For years I woke up with a headache that eased off after an hour or so. I now use one of the small pillows that is meant to be used between your knees to ease hip pain. It's a perfect size. Supports perfectly the neck and shoulder area. Cost about £20. I take it on holiday as it's so good. In a side sleeper.
