Hi!
I have got my operation to have my dental implant put in on Thursday and I am feeling really nervous. I even feel like pulling out but can't now.
Please re-assure me I will be okay!!!!
I just want it all over. So worried about the stitches as I know it is going to take ages to heal!!!!

I am sure evrything will be fine blossomhill Of course you are nervous, anyone would be, but the sooner it gets done the better it will be for you in the long term.

Good Luck xxx

Thanks Fio
I hate waiting for anything, always makes me anxious.
It will really be worth it once it is done though. Should be as it is costing me nearly 3 grand [gulp expression needed]

I have e-mailed Jasper last night to say that you were looking for her.... she may not be online for a little while. She hasn't replied to my e-mail so that's what I suspect.

HI Blossomhill, please don't panic.
Your implant surgery will be FINE. It really is quite straightforward. The stitched part will NOT take ages to heal. The mouth is a great healer.
I recently went on an implant course ( part two tomorrow night)
Implants nowadays are quite remarkable with a really high success rate ( WELL over 90%)
A friend works with a dentist who has placed hundreds without a single failure.
It will be well worth the money.
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your words of support Jasper. I am still worried and have had a few sleepless nights. I really do not know what to expect. On the other hand I am excited as it is what I have wanted for a long time.
The thing that really annoys me is that it is not available on the NHS. This was all caused by an accident I had 20 years ago. The NHS will not fund dental implants but WILL fund Maxine Carrs breast implants????
How can that make sense? She can wear a padded bra wheras I can't do anything to hide my tooth!!!! Rant over!
