Merina coil

I've had a merina coil fitted for 7 year's. Not had a period for the last 2 years. But on the 2nd January I had bloodstained tissue. Very slight it was and nothing the day after. I've contacted my gp and I think she's removing my coil on Wednesday and making a referral to have a pelvic scan. I'm a but worried. Anyone else experiencing something similar. Thanks.

My friend had this and the coil had moved else where, I forget where they eventually located it. Maybe the same has happened and the blood is an internal injury so i guess they want to locate the coil by scanning you to see all is well.

Is it the same coil you've had for 7 years or did you get it replaced? If it's the same one they're meant to be replaced every 5 years so it could have "run out" of hormones and that's why you're now bleeding.

Same coil. Yes thats maybe why I'm bleeding tbh. Thanks for your reply.
