Could it still be a UTI?

I’ve never actually had one so I’m a bit confused as to what the issue is.

Had some burning pain, worse when/after peeing, and thought I had thrush so bought OTC medication which seemed to help a bit. Then the burning returned. Also intermittently have slightly cloudy pee and mild stomach ache after peeing. This is over the last week or so.

However bought a urine dip test today thinking that might give me an answer but it was negative. Could it still be a UTI with a negative dip test? Bloody hurts, whatever it is.

Is it worthy of trying to contact the GP or 111 or should I just wait it out? In normal times I’d probably attend the walk in clinic but it’s not currently open.

Yes you can get a negative dipstick and still have an infection, get it checked out.
