I'm a nurse so obvs thinking the worst

Lower back pain for over a week
Painful to touch
No injury or fall
Not having bowels open as normal and no urge to go, but can go if I push IYSWIM
One bruise on right initially very painful now fading
This new mark has appeared today and so painful even just to lie still

Any offers????

Thats what my shingles looked like initially.

ChristMyArse · 28/12/2020 22:49

Sorry can't help with the bruising but you Ned go see a dr ASAP if your bowels are affected. Google Cauda Equina and familiarise yourself with the red flags.

Fingers crossed for a simple answer!

Oh god I've nursed someone with that when i worked in neurosurgery
They operated immediately

Fingers crossed it's nothing awful, the random bruising is so weird, dd said it's looks more like a bite

@MozzchopsThirty I've had it 3 times so get a bit twitchy when I see bowel/bladder issues relating to a sore back. Please update if you get an answer!

@Bunnybigears it is indeed shingles

The pain is hideous and unrelenting
Got lidocaine patches & amitriptyline now
