Just cooked some Brie and cranberry on toast.
Opened the Brie yest and was delish. Just cooked it and ate it. Could smell soap but didn’t know where it was coming down. Wasn’t til is eaten the Brie on toast that I realised it was the cooked Brie!!

Am terrified I’ve poisoned myself!!

Anyone??

If it tasted fine yesterday it hasn't poisoned you today op

If you're smelling soap today and not yesterday and the brie was otherwise fine then it might be you. Perhaps you're coming down with something?

inappropriateraspberry · 24/12/2020 13:28

I find cooked Brie can sometimes have an odd smell and taste, unlike when it's 'raw' and scoffed with crackers.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 24/12/2020 13:28

I didn’t get it, why would the Brie smell of soap?

Why do you dramatically think you’ve been poisoned? What am I missing?

dementedpixie · 24/12/2020 13:28

If you've cooked it then its even less likely to poison you

SantasBritchesSpelleas · 24/12/2020 13:39

Are you sure it wasn't that your plate or cutlery hadn't been properly rinsed?

verybadhairdoo · 24/12/2020 13:51

Do you have Covid??

BaronessBomburst · 24/12/2020 13:54

It would smell of ammonia, not soap, if it was bad.
