Can anyone tell me what a pre school eye test entails?

I'm assuming they'll look at his eyes but he can't read the alphabet or numbers so it won't be reading things will it?

When ds went for an eye test at 2 they showed him cards with pictures on and asked him to look at them and also at different colour pictures and pictures with patterns on and shapes hidden in them. No alphabet.

Should also have said that the worst bit was them putting eye drops in to dilate his pupils. I think that the entire hospital was aware that ds was not keen on this bit.

Might not do that everytime though - think it might depend on what problem they are looking for. It must be said that apart from the drops, ds had a ball and all the people were great with small children and had a good understanding of what they could and could not do.
