New hair growth at hairline on forehead!

Not sure if this is the right topic to be posting in, but anyway:

I have long, straight hair and grew out my fringe a couple of years ago. During my pregnancy I didn't notice any particular changes in my hair, but since ds's birth 8 months ago I've had quite a bit of hair falling out, which is not really a problem, and new hair growing at my hairline on my forehead (where a fringe would be). The new hair isn't fine or soft, it's just like the rest of my hair and it's now reached a good 2 or 3cm and looks totally bizarre
It is, in effect, making my forehead "smaller".

Does anyone know why this is happening? Could it be hormone-related (I'm still bf)? I realise I could shave it off / trim it but really I can't be bothered having yet another area of the body that needs to be de-haired regularly! And I don't want to go back to having a fringe again.

Any ideas???

Its probably just new hair growing. After the birth of your ds. You'll have to wait till its the same length as the rest or at least long enough to be tied back.

For now, I'd clip it to the side or wear an alice band.

DON'T SHAVE it or CUT IT!!!!!!

My dd has this at the moment. Her's is wispy though and looks like a halo

I think this is just because you have lost a lot of hair and so the new hair that is growing in is very noticeable. DD1 has this. She seems to lose large amounts of hair (we have joked that we need one of those Dyson animals). It is probably more noticeable because you have long straight hair (like DD).
