Hello all,

I'm sure this is normal but I have found a small marble-like lump bellow my chest, where my ribs meet but slightly above my stomach. It's painful to touch.

Mildly panicked but I bet everyone has this and I just haven't noticed. Any words of wisdom much appreciated.

That’s exactly where I have my scar from having my gallbladder removed due to gallstones, but I know nothing about anatomy so I don’t know if that’s where they go in for access 🤪
Don’t remember being able to feel them from the outside though 😳

Could it be a hernia? A friend had a small lump that stuck out in different position on her front and it was a hernia.

Definitely ask a gp if you’re worried, even if just to reassure you.

It sounds like you may have just discovered your xiphoid process from what you’ve described.

I have this too, and I thought it might be related to my gastritis.

Another vote for xiphoid process.

Xiphoid process x3! Normal anatomy

Yep to xyphoid process. Some peoples stick out more than others - DS1’s is quite obvious, I’ve never noticed my own 😂 (but I think I’ve got way higher % body fat covering it up...)
