About two weeks ago I noticed I had strong smelling urine, so started washing more and drinking more. Then out of the blue I had this terrible itching, called doc had a urine test - negative. Doctor gave me some antifungal cream to use three times a day. It has reduced the itching by 90%, but my urethra feels slightly itchy, tender, sometimes throbbing, urge to wee, slight pain across tummy, up four times a night and I have to take pain killers to try and get to sleep as its irritating. Doctor calling me tomorrow, wondering if antibiotics might help anyway, could it be fungal, thrush, cystitis? Never had the latter.. Confused and fed up! Grateful for any ideas. Thank you.
