What is wrong with me!?!!

So to preface this, I've had all my bloods done, I'm waiting on my zinc and selenium to come back, this should be early next week apparently.

All my other tests came back normal, I'm already on vit d and 300mg iron tablets daily as anaemia runs in the family and if I don't take them my levels drop fast.

So onto the issue, I've started suffering hairloss (again) as in I'm scared to brush it with the amount that comes out, even just washing and conditioning my hands are covered in hair. The last time this happened was in January, the 4 month postpartum hairloss I was told.

I've got injuries, cuts and bruises that are just not healing properly.

I'm so bloody tired, the fatigue is unreal, if I sit for longer than 10 minutes I start to drop off.

I've spoken to a few people who have said it could be a physical reaction to stress. I had an extremely stressful period in August and September with work, money and friends, so possible, but everything is back to normal (to a degree), my hair only started falling out in November, I've always suffered with fatigue but this got so much worse in November too.

So why would it only be now if it is stress?

I started noticing injuries not going away when I got a carpet burn in September, that's still scabbed now and the tattoo I had done in October isn't fully healed. The two bruises from the blood tests are still fairly purple and yellow.

I mentioned to the nurse practisioner when she called me back yesterday to discuss the results that I'd had back that a few people have suggested stress and she said it's possible but we'll explore that once the zinc and selenium results are back.

I don't really know what I'm looking for, maybe just to put down what is going on and get it out of my head?

Has anyone else had this?

Did you have Covid? Hair loss is one of the symptoms of Long Covid Syndrome.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 09/12/2020 13:31

Not as far as I'm aware, I've had a couple of tests for various reasons and they've been negative.
But thank you, I wasn't aware it was a symptom in that sense.

Clotting disorder? Or Lupus

helloxhristmas · 09/12/2020 13:40

Fibromyalgia?

LadyGAgain · 09/12/2020 15:18

Hypo-thyroidism

My hair fell out. The fatigue is unbelievable.

Have you put on any weight?

Low mood.

Diagnosed with blood test and can be fairly easily managed with medication.

I could have written this, apart from the cuts and bruises. I also have very low sex drive on top of this. ☹️ I have suffered with hairloss for many years but lately I'm scared to wash it. It's coming out in clumps and it's already so thin you can see my scalp. I need to phone drs ...your post made see that even more now.

This is what I've been like since I had covid. If there's any chance you've had it, it could be that - my symptoms were very mild at the time, and the long term effects have been worse than the experience.

Thank you for your replies,
I'm hoping that things like lupus, clotting, fibromyalgia and hypo-thyroidism would have been picked up in the blood tests, they've literally looked at everything, the first test was 20 something checks long and the second was 5, my drs main focus was testosterone for POCS but that's has come back clear too.

@LadyGAgain, I have gained weight, but it's the same half stone I've been gaining and losing since the first lockdown, I've not been to the gym since October, first tattoo and then lockdown. I'm happier than I have been, but along with the stress earlier this year I did start to spiral and my GP considered ADs, but after a proper talk we decided against it.

Oh bless you @BrienneIsMyHero I would definitely get in touch if I was you, it's better to get looked at than to just sit on it.

I guess it is possible I've had it @LindaEllen as I'm probably as suseptable to get it as anyone else, however I would have to have been asymptomatic as I've not been ill this year at all, even mildly, neither dh or ds have been ill either, although ds is isolating as they have cases in nursery and he has a cold, but that's only in the past week.
