Hi, I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar?
I gave birth vaginally 6 weeks ago. Had second deg tear and labial laceration.
A week and a half ago I had an irritation on the side of my face, went to doc who did a swab test which came back positive for shingles.
Whilst at the doc, I asked her to check down there for me to make sure all healed ok so I could have sex again with my Hubby. I felt fine down there but just wanted to check.
She said all looked fine but there was a bit of discharge which she took a swab of. She was a bit rough doing this and it hurt slightly.
The swab came back as bacterial vaginosis (I had no odour down there) but a day or two after being with the doc I had a burning /tender feeling down there (inside my vagina). When the doc phoned with the results she told me she prescribed a gel antibiotic. I mentioned the burning sensation but she dismissed it and told me to see how I got on with the antibiotic. About 2 days after I noticed I had what looks like two bites/hives on the top of my bum cheek. They were itchy and I scratched them without thinking and irritated them. I felt paranoid the next day so put a plaster on them.
I’m really paranoid and worried about down there. I’ve an app with my doc tomorrow but I can’t stop googling stuff and I’m totally freaked out now.
