Just seeing if anyone else notices bubbles in the toilet after having a wee?
I've noticed it on and off this year and am awaiting further tests but would like to know is this normal for anyone?

How weird, I literally was just reading a magazine online and someone had written in to ask the same question.
No it’s not normal. Let me see if I can find it again and I’ll screenshot the Dr’s answer for you.

No. I think it's a sign of something or other, but helpfully can't remember what it's a sign of now.

@ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldHave How strange! Thanks for posting the article, I have had a cystscopy as magazine doctor mentioned snd it was normal no fistula seen, a sigmoidoscopy showed diverticulitis but no fistula seen and a abdomen CT scan with intravenous dye showed nothing only a impacted bowel which was dealt with.
I'm now awaiting a colonoscopy and a gastro enema, I've asked a few people irl and some never look, some said yes but don't pay attention so thought here would be a good place to ask!

I think it’s also a sign of diabetes.

Yes it can be a sign of illness for eg ckd.

However, it can also be a reaction to weeing after bleach or bleach products are already in the toilet bowl. Worth bearing in mind.

dontdisturbmenow · 07/12/2020 08:27

I had this on and off at times, but indeed, bleach can be the cause.

kissmelittleass · 13/12/2020 23:05

@dontdisturbmenow have you seen a doctor about it? It happens when there's no bleach in toilet, I must stress it's not all the time just sometimes but has happened on and off since May.

No I haven't but it's been like this for years and had a number of blood tests since and all normal.

Another stupid reason which I tested since this thread....it depends how intense your weeing is. I see like I do everything else, quickly in a rush, and that creates bubbles. Tried to wee slower and sure enough, no bubbles at all when I do so.
